Today was pretty much the same thing as the first game we interned. We held a rope to make sure fans were not able to walk onto the floor. Darby kept telling us were doing a great job and that it was only to get better. All I was thinking was, I sure hope so. We were responsible for crowd control this day making sure the specific rows to keep the floor dry and clean. We did a little bit of crowd control and had to ask people to move from the first bench to the next bench for the safety of our players and referees. Tiffin men won 66-60. Tiffin Women lost 91-63.

Double Header: The first day was not what I was expecting. I was handed the GLIAC Rule book, and a list of things that need to be done before the game and a list of things of what to do after the game. Although we were not in charge of the clean up of everything, the information was nice to know. This is when we were shown where everything was located, such as, extras chairs and the other equipment. Throughout the game, we had to hold a rope from one base line to another base line to make sure fans did not walk onto the gym floor with their wet shoes or go out and randomly start shooting a basketball. We would hold it before the game, half time and in between games. The players complained during half time because they could not use the space that they usually used to do their drills. We also had to do crowd control and makes sure people were not sitting in the front row or being disrespectful to our players, other fans, and referees. On this day, Tiffin played Lake Erie College. Men's basketball lost 76-54. Women's basketball won 74-64.
Since our last meeting was January second, we met again a couple days before the first games. He straight up told me how the first day was going to go. Basically, we would go early and help him set up for men's and women's basketball games. The set up consist of getting tables ready for ticket booth, along with getting the concession stand ready, and sweep up the gym floor before the players would enter the court. He also told us throughout the game we would do crowd control and make sure nobody got out of hand and that we would be asked to help the golfers out if they needed it or even a person out of the crowd. He then told us during halftime we would hold a rope so people would not walk and track salt all over the gym floor. After our meeting, I stuck around to kind of "job shadow" Darby to see what he does within the office and if it was confidential, I would just step out. I also met his assistant and I met the women's golf coach, Brittney.
I met with Darby this day so we could officially meet. We talked about the things that I will be doing throughout my internship along with who I will be doing my interning with. We met for about 2 hours just going over things. I have also met with Darby other times as well before basketball games, to go over more information about that specific game. We also met another time to talk about what else I could do to gain more hours for my internship. I would always meet with Jordan to talk about what we will be doing and how we can divide the work up. Also, if we could not get a hold of Darby we would just meet together and talk about what Darby would want us to do.
